Portulacaria afra variegata also know as Miniature Variegated Jade , Variegated Elephant Food and Variegated Purslane Tree is native to South Africa. Thick succulant juicy stemmed shrub looks a bit like Crassula argentea , Jade Plant , a great house plant it requires the same conditions as the well known Jade plant.
The Miniatue Variegated Jade Plant will endure direct sun and high temperatures but the variegation and leaf size is larger more pronounced if grown in light shade.
