Agave franzosinii L

Agave franzosinii also known as Majestic Agave, or Franzosinii Agave has a trunk less rosette of imposing, spreading, broad and thick succulent leaves colored silver gray to bluish gray, with a rough and sand papery texture. The leaves can attain a length of 8 to 10 feet and be up to 12 inches wide at the base they have blackish marginal hooked shaped thorns. Like all Agave’s it is a slow grower, the Agave franzosinii does not through pups / offsets frequently.

When the Agave franzosinii flowers which can take 20 yrs. or more, the flower spike can reach 40 feet tall.
