Cork Oak also known as Quercus suber it is native to the Mediterranean region.
70 to 100 feet at maturity with an equal spread , slow to moderate growth rate. The trunk and major limbs are covered with a thick corky bark this is the cork of commerce.
3 inch shiny green above and gray beneath leaves which are saw toothed adorn its branches. Plant in a sunny area with good drainage, once established the Cork Oak is very drought tolerant.
