Scillia violacea also known as Silver Squill of Leopard Lily is native to South Africa.
A small suckering bulbous plant with swollen base attractive variegated foliage of strap like fleshy leaves , olive green with silver blotching and banding , glossy wine red underneath. The flower is small green and blue on slender stems.
The Scillia Violacea is an easy indoor plant anywhere, and will do quite well out of doors in mild wintered areas. It needs little care and propagates easily.
