Agave stricta Nana also known as Dwarf Hedgehog Agave. A small slow growing agave that forms a neat round shape 6 to 10 inches tall and as wide of pale green spine tipped symmetrical leaves with tiny teeth along the margins.
It eventually grows to form a small colony of spherical rosettes in a garden situation because unlike other Agaves , it does not die after flowering but does sound out new offsets from the parent plant.
Plant in full to part sun in a well drained soil Hardy to 20 degrees F.
Native to Mexico where it grows in dry limestone country. It makes a good pot plant or garden specimen if grown in a dry spot or on a raised mound to provide adequate drainage.
We are offering a well-established plant that is about 3 to 4 inches tall.
