Hibiscus Sabdarifa also known by many names including Roselle, Jamaica and Sudan Tea.
It is native to India and Malaysia however it has natralized in many tropical and subtropical regions from sea level to 3000 ft.
Roselle is very sensitive to frost.
Widely used as a medicine and vegetable . Medical claims range from being a diuretic , relieving coughs, lowering blood pressure and food coloring.
The calyces make an excellent red cranberry flavored tea that is high in vitamin C and can be sweetened ; it is elicious
Grow in full sun , provide ample water and a mild fertilizer such as 4-6-7 NKP
