Ceropegia woodii variegata also known as Variegated String of Hearts is native to South Africa. A small succulent vine growing from tuberous base,leaves in pairs, heart shaped , thick and succulent , 2/3 inch long , dark green marbled with white, gray, silver, pink, cream and brown .

The small tubers that form on the stems are to store water and can be used to start new plants. Hardy to 25 degrees.
Ceropegia woodii variegate is best in containers , so stems may trail over the sides forming a thin curtain or may be trained on a small trellis. The String of Heart flower are small dull pink or purplish not showy but interesting in structure. Give it some shade and water lightly for best color.Grow outdoors in mild wintered areas or indoors anywhere.
