Asparagus densiflorus Myers also known as Foxtail Asparagus and Asparagus Meyeri is native to South Africa coastal areas in the southeastern Cape.
An evergreen perennial with erect growth to 2 feet tall in clusters up to 4 feet wide with light green needle like leaves that clothe the upright stems resembling a fox tail. The Foxtail Fern is an evergreen drought resistant plant that needs little care and looks bright green all year long.
Asparagus Myers adds unusual textural contrast to perennial beds and borders. Its long plume like stems hold soft, needle like leaves and develops red berries in the fall. An excellent choice for hanging baskets and containers. It is an easy plant to care for and will offer many years of enjoyment in your home or yard.
We are offering a well-established plant showing multiple stems.
