Agave Americana

Agave Americana also known as Century Plant or Blue Agave is native to Mexico its dark blue green leaves are arranged in a large rosette. So called Century Plant due to the fact that it takes 20 or so years for it to bloom after which it dies but during its active growing years it produces many pups , offsets.

The Agave Americana is a medium size Agave 8 to 12 feet tall here in Santa Barbara CA. it is hardy to 30 degrees.

An excellent for container plantings or use in groupings in the landscape .
