Amaryllis Butterfly

Amaryllis Butterfly also known as Hippeastrum papilio.

A hard to find and much sought after South American Amaryllis the flower resembles and orchid or tropical butterfly its exotic bloom measures 5 ½ inches across which sits atop a stem 2 feet tall.

The Butterfly Amaryllis blooms in early spring the foliage can remain all year long given the right conditions. A fine house plant anywhere. Can be grown out doors in a very mild wintered area.
