Asparagus Retrofractus also known as Ming Asparagus is native to South Africa.
Thread like leaves, 1 inch long, arranged in fluffy rich green tufts on stems growing to 8 feet tall. The Asparagus Retrofractus makes a handsome container plant, may be grown indoors. Florists find it useful in flower arrangements used as filler, cut foliage lasts about 10 days out of water, in water several weeks.
The flowers of the Asparagus retrofractus are white and are followed by black berries that contain the seeds.
